On Thursday, March 12, 2020, Cumberland Police were dispatched to Park Street at Spring Street for an assault in progress. When officers arrived on scene they observed two individuals identified as Vance Ridgeley, age 32, and Scot Noel, age 27 of Cumberland engaged in a fight. Officers quickly took both subjects into custody without further incident. Subsequently, Ridgeley was charged with assault second degree and affray. He was later provided his Initial Appearance in District Court, and held on $2500 unsecured bond. Noel was issued a Criminal Citation for disorderly conducted and released pending trial in District Court.
