City Police Respond To Hit & Run And Serve Bench Warrants

On 03/01/16 Officers with the Cumberland Police Department were contacted by a subject who advised that their vehicle was struck by an unknown vehicle while parked and unattended at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center parking lot. Officers observed minor damage to the front end of the vehicle. There are no suspects or witnesses at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Cumberland Police Dept at 301-777-1600.

 

February 29th, 2016                                                            Bench Warrants Served

 

On 03/01/16 Officers with the Cumberland Police Dept served a bench warrant on 32 year old Julie Lee Davis of Rawlings. The warrant stems from Davis violating pre trial supervision requirements on an original charge of Assault First Degree. Davis was taken for an initial appearance at District Court where she was held without bond.

 

Also on 03/01/16 Officers served a bench warrant on 38 year old Robbie Wayne Hamilton of Westernport. The warrant stems from Hamilton failing to follow conditions of probation on an original charge of Assault Second Degree. Hamilton was taken for an initial appearance at District Court where he was held without bond.
