On Thursday, October 4th, 2018 the Cumberland Police Department responded to W/B I-68 at the Maryland Avenue for a tractor and trailer accident. When officer arrived, they learned that the driver identified as Sanjar Sermatov, lost control of his truck due to speed and wet road conditions. As a result, his truck struck the median, disabling it and it had to be towed. The median itself also sustained damage and the Maryland State Highway Administration was notified. Sermatov was not injured.
