City Police Serve Bench Warrant & Make Theft Arrest

On May 15, 2019 Cumberland Police served an arrest warrant on Cherokee Dawn Logsdon, age 24 of Accident, Maryland.   A warrant was issued for Logsdon’s arrest after she violated conditions of her probation.  Logsdon was processed, served and taken before the District Court Commissioner.  Logsdon was held in the Allegany County Detention Center on $250.

Charge: Bench Warrant Violation of Probation.

 

Theft Arrest

On May 15, 2019 officers from the Cumberland City Police Department responded to the Dollar General located at 1050 West Industrial Blvd. for a shoplifting complaint.  Upon the officer’s arrival, contact was made with an employee who pointing at a black van directly down from the store entrance.  The employee advised officers that the male suspect inside the van was observed stealing items from the store. Officers contacted the male who was identified as, Michael Shawn Fear.  Fear admitted to the officers that he was in possession of stolen items from the store.  Fear handed over the items and was placed under arrest.  Fear was transported to the Cumberland City Police Department, where he was processed and served with a criminal citation.  Fear was later released pending a trial date in District Court.

Charge: Theft less than $100
