City Police Serve Warrant And Make Assault/Disorderly Conduct Arrest

On Sunday, August 5th, 2018, the Cumberland Police Department served a Circuit Court warrant on Michael Thomas Sharon for failing to appear at Child Support Court.  He was taken before the District Court Commissioner and released on his own personal recognizance pending his next hearing.

Assault/Disorderly Arrest

On Sunday, August 5th, 2018, the Cumberland Police Department responded to 205 Baltimore Avenue for the report of an assault.  When officers arrived, they spoke with the victim that alleged she was assaulted by neighbor, Katelin Marie Moorehead.  Officers then spoke with Moorehead and she was told her to avoid anymore contact with the victim and not to cause anymore problems for the evening.  Moment later, officers received another complaint of Moorehead causing another disturbance. Officer responded back to the Baltimore Avenue address and again spoke with the original complainant who advised that Moorehead was continuing to cause her problems.  Officers again made contact with Moorehead and according to the report; she repeated her disruptive behavior in the presence of officers. Moorehead was subsequently arrest and charged with 2nd degree assault, disorderly conduct, and failure to obey a lawful order.  She was taken before the District Court Commissioner and released on her own personal recognizance pending trial.
