City Police Serve Warrant on Vehicle Theft Incident

On February 16, 2017 Cumberland Police Officers served a criminal warrant on Prince Mohamed Babah.  The warrant stemmed from an incident that occurred in early February on Willowbrook Road.  The victim reported that her vehicle was missing and she believed her ex-boyfriend, Prince Babah, had taken the vehicle without her permission.  She stated she was talking with friends when Babah arrived and asked for someone to give him a ride to Prince Georges County.  He then left and the victim realized her keys were missing.  They then looked for her vehicle and it was missing.  The area was checked for the vehicle with negative results.  The next day Babah, arrived at the victim’s residence in Frostburg and returned the vehicle.  Charges were filed on Babah and he was served with the arrest warrant.  Babah was taken for a bond hearing with the Allegany County District Court Commissioner and  was released on his personal recognizance.

Charges:

Theft: less than $100, Theft: between $10,000 – $100,000, Rogue and Vagabond, Unlawful taking of a Motor Vehicle, Unauthorized removal of property, Taking vehicle without owner’s consent, Driving vehicle without the owner’s consent and Climbing into any vehicle with malicious intent.
