City Reviews Recommendation For Computer System

The Cumberland mayor and city council spent a big part of last night's meeting dealing with information technology.

The council reviewed a recommendation for New World Systems of Tyler Technologies which would allow more transparency for citizens, allowing residents to set up their own accounts and submit complaints, allowing greater interactivity.

The price tag is estimated to be just over a half million dollars for an eight year capital lease, with support costs locked into the proposal.

The council also conducted a public hearing on a six and a half acre tract of land along route 51 at Messick Road, and reviewed the purchases of a Bobcat and a work truck…
