Clayburn, which operates a plant south of Grantsville on Route 495, will close the facility in about a month, and will lay off about 75 employees. The company says it will sell off the equipment from the New Savage plant to a firm in Canton, Ohio. Garrett County officials say they will attempt to help the affected workers through programs with the Western Maryland Consorium.
