Cumberland has no business collecting taxes and trying to operate a city government. We have under 20,000 people now and dropping. The county needs to run Cumberland. This is long past due. It might seem like a shock, but it is just common sense.

      > As Commissioner Shade mentioned on WCBC it’s a matter of dollars and cents. If this proposal is put to voters in the form of a referendum, county residents will need to know just how much extra it is going to cost them taking on the burden of an old, run-down city. This is one area in which I believe that an outside auditor would be needed. Yes, another consultant, but I’m sorry, I want to see the numbers from someone outside of local government.

Why on earth would the County want to adopt a worthless GHETTO?
