Commissioners Appear To Be Moving Toward Making Changes To Economic Development Department

With Allegany County’s head of economic development dealing with health issues- and the county just about to receive a consultant’s report outlining a long range economic development strategic plan- the county commissioners appear to be moving toward making some changes to the department. One rumor circulating in recent weeks is that the county has talked about securing the services of Paul Kelly and Matt Miller- who head up the Cumberland Economic Development Corporation.     Great, get some CEDC wastrels to expand the Cumberland miracle to the whole county. The only thing achieved by “Economic Development” meddling in downtown was sending development to Lavale; it seems they now might drive that away.
