Commissioners Approve $7 Million in New Emergency Equipment; Radios

An early Christmas for Allegany County’s Emergency Management Agency with the County Commissioners taking a number of actions approving more than $7 million in new equipment- beginning with new radios that will be part of the state system. The radios have a price tag of more than $6 million and will be part of a bond bill. In addition to the radios, the commissioners approved the purchase of three new emergency vehicles as well as announcing that some $690,000 will go to local fire companies from Rocky Gap slots revenue.
