The Allegany County Commissioners last week announced they had rescinded a bid award made to build a shell building in the Barton Business Park, and would use the old bidding system rather than one that allows a design bid.
We asked County Commissioner Bill Valentine how long it would take for the county to adopt the design bid option for future projects…
Valentine said by going back to the traditional bidding process, the new shell building won’t be ready until next summer.
