Commissioners Feel County Isn’t Receiving Fair Share Of Gaming Revenues

Feeling Allegany County is not receiving its fair share from gaming revenues generated at the Rocky Gap Casino, the county commissioners are requesting the local legislative delegation to intro a bill to address the issue during the next session. County Administrator David Eberly, during the most recent county meeting, noted that while all other counties hosting casinos receive a local impact grant of 5.5% from video gaming revenue- Allegany County is receiving only 2.75%.  He says the county was instrumental in the development of the Rocky Gap Lodge and Resort which led to the successful casino operation…
