After hearing from Allegany County Teacher Association representatives requesting additional education funding for two straight weeks- the message from the county commissioners remains the same: there are simply no additional dollars to go around. ACTA representatives, including President Deb Pappas addressed the commissioners each of the past two weeks at public budget hearings, one week asking for money for salary hikes, and another asking the county officials to think of the children when prioritizing its budget.
