Commissioners Sign Off On Changes To County Animal Shelter And Animal Control Operations

The Allegany County commissioners have signed off on  an agreement that will make a fundamental change in the county animal shelter and animal control operations — taking those operations out of county hands. The agreement was being finalized in the past few days between Assistant County Attorney Barry Levine and attorney Bob Payer representing the Animal Shelter Management Foundation.  New foundation president Becky McClarran praised the county for being open to changes at the shelter.
