Panhandling has been an issue in downtown Cumberland for some time, and it seems its becoming an issue countywide. It is not uncommon to see transients on street corners and roadways with signs asking for money, or sometimes a job. Allegany County Commissioner Creade Brodie Jr said he hopes the county will get some answers to the growing problem when they meet with Sheriff Craig Robertson later this month.
