Comptroller urging citizens shop local for the holidays

December 11th, 2014 by WCBC Radio

Comptroller Peter Franchot toured  three Cumberland shops and a Hagerstown tree farm and restaurant on the seventh stop of his Shop Maryland for the Holidays tour. The purpose of his annual statewide tour is to encourage Marylanders to shop locally to support their local shops and small businesses and Maryland’s critical retail sector.   Franchot will begin his tour at Ristorante Ottaviani, a family-run Italian restaurant owned by Phillip and Adrienne Ottaviani; then stopped  by PharmaCare Floral and Gift Shoppe, owned by Jennifer Hare; and finally a visit to MIXX, a women’s fashion store. ..
