Miss Maryland Hannah Brewer will be the mistress of ceremonies and Miss Maryland Outstanding Teen Allison LaForce will be a special guest at the Miss and Outstanding Teen Allegany County and Cumberland Scholarship Pageant tonight at 6 p.m. in the fellowship hall of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 1601 Frederick St. Brewer was a top 10 finalist at the Miss America Pageant and a preliminary swimsuit winner. Before winning the title of Miss Maryland last June, she was selected as Miss Rocky Gap. The event is open to the public, and those attending should enter at the rear of the church. Tickets will be available at the door beginning at 5:15 p.m. and LuLaRoe consultants will be onsite beginning at 5 p.m. Beth Thomas Tanner, executive director for the Miss Allegany County Scholarship Program said the evening’s onstage competition will feature the miss contestants in evening wear, swimsuit, onstage question and talent while the teen contestants will be featured in sportswear, evening wear, onstage question and talent. Each group will compete in interview prior to the onstage competition.
The contestants vying for the title of Miss Allegany County and Miss Cumberland include Sabrina Frost, Caleigh Shade, Samantha Gittere, Megan Cox, Taylor Lokey, Emma Lutton, Infinity Navarro, Ella Sisler and Elsa Schumacher.
