Allegany County officials approved the FY 2021 budget Thursday- a document that could be somewhat fluid given the many uncertainties resulting from the coronavirus’ ongoing impact on the economy. Jason Bennett, county finance director/interim county administrator, said a “massive” loss in the county’s income tax revenue is becoming a reality. Despite those challenges there are no tax increases or furloughs included in the county’s fiscal strategy moving forward.
