County Begins Budget Hearings Today

The Allegany County Commissioners will begin its budget process in earnest Thursday with the first round of public request presentations from outside agencies that receive county funding. On tap tomorrow, the University of Maryland Extension; Upper Potomac River Commission; Allegany County Public Library System; the Orphan’s Court; Circuit Court; Fire and Rescue Board; Department of Social Services; Task Force on Child Abuse and Neglect; the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad; and Allegany College of Maryland.
