September 4th, 2011 by WCBC Radio

The Allegany County Commissioners will consider a request to increase the take from non profit clubs in paper gaming revenues. That proposal was recently submitted to the county by for profit ventures who says there is a need to level the playing field. The paper gaming revenue comes from tip jars and similar games in the clubs, taverns, liquor stores and convenience stores. The nonprofit association has requested a meeting with county commissioners before any decision is made. The commissioners will take comment on the subject during an upcoming meeting.
