The County Commissioners voted Thursday to approve the Allegany County Enhancement Program, which designates $375,000 from the county Revolving Building Funds to purchase and demolish blighted buildings, as well as finance building improvements for businesses. The effort is designed to help communities deal with blighted properties and the plan was developed after a recent meeting involving county officials and representatives from towns and municipalities interested in participating.
