CPD Has Busy Thursday

On January 19, 2017 at approximately 3:00 AM the Cumberland Police responded to a residence on Evergreen Terrace for a loud noise complaint.  Upon arrival officers could hear David Ronald Lion Christifer and Christine Lenore Logsdon inside the residence causing a loud disturbance.  They were advised not to cause any further disturbances.  Approximately four and a half hours later the police were called back to the residence for another loud disturbance.  When officers arrived they could again hear Christifer and Logsdon creating a loud disturbance.  Christifer and Logsdon were contacted and placed under arrest.  They were transported to the Cumberland Police Department where they were each issued criminal citations for Disturbing the Peace Loud Noise.  They were released pending trial in District Court.

Warrant Arrest

On January 19, 2017 the Cumberland Police served a Bench Warrant on Earl Willis Robinette, Jr. for failing to appear for court on January 5, 2017.  Robinette was taken before a District Court Commissioner where he was released on his personal recognizance.

Warrant for Theft Arrest

On January 19, 2017 the Cumberland Police served an arrest warrant on Jeremiah Presley Yee for Theft.  The warrant stems from an investigation the Cumberland Police began on October 7, 2016.  The investigation began when a delivery driver entered a business to make a delivery and when he returned to his vehicle he discovered his cell phone was missing.  During the investigation witnesses were interviewed and evidence was collected.  Yee was developed as a suspect and a warrant was issued.  Yee was taken before a District Court Commissioner where he was held on a bond of $3500.  He was taken to the Allegany County Detention Center to await his next court appearance.

Warrant Arrest

On January 19, 2017 the Cumberland Police served four Circuit Court warrants on Jamine Danielle Devault.  Each warrant is a Circuit Court warrant for Violation of Probation.  Devault was held without bond and taken to the Allegany County Detention Center to await her next court appearance.

Warrant Arrest

On January 19, 2017 the Cumberland Police served three Bench Warrants for Failure to Appear on Alicia Marie Jewell.  Jewell failed to appear for trial in District Court on January 19, 2017 for three Theft cases.  Jewell was arrested and taken before a District Court Commissioner for a bond hearing where she was held on $10,000 for each warrant, having a total bond of $30,000.  She was taken to the Allegany County Detention Center to await her next court appearance.

CDS Arrest

On January 19, 2017 at approximately 4:40 PM a Cumberland Police officer was on patrol in the area of Bedford Street.  The officer was making a left turn onto Mechanic Street when a vehicle, operated by Debra Lee Linaburg, also made a left turn and pulled in front of the officer, causing the officer to apply his brakes to avoid striking the vehicle operated by Linaburg.  The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle operated by Linaburg and learned Linaburg had a revoked license.  A search of the vehicle was conducted and resulted in the discovery of Marijuana over 10 grams and an Oxycodone pill.  She was arrested and charged with CDS Possession of Marijuana and CDS Possession Other Than Marijuana.  She was taken for a bond hearing to the District Court Commissioner where she was released on her personal recognizance.

Charges:  Changing Lanes When Unsafe, Driving on Revoked License, CDS Possession of Marijuana and CDS Possession Other Than Marijuana

Theft Arrest

On January 19, 2017 at approximately 10:46 PM the Cumberland Police investigated a theft report at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.  Investigation revealed Tracey Louise Minnick had been seen by hospital staff stealing hospital supplies.  When police contacted Minnick they discovered she had more hospital supplies on her person in addition to what staff had seen her take.  Minnick was arrested and taken to the Cumberland Police Department where she was issued a criminal citation for Theft Under $100.  She was released pending trial in District Court.
