On Sunday June 19, 2016 officers from the Cumberland Police Department were called to a residence on S. Allegany St for a report of a domestic assault. When officers arrived on scene they spoke with the female victim, learning that she had been assaulted by her boyfriend. Based on the investigation, Jason Wayne Wiley, 28 years old of Cumberland, MD was arrested for first and second degree assault. Wiley was processed and taken before the commissioner. He was held on $25,000.
