CPD Make Disorderly Conduct & Child Abuse Arrests

At approx. 2130hrs, officers from the Cumberland Police Department were dispatched to the 900 block of Maryland Avenue for a disturbance.  Upon the arrival of officers they attempted to speak with Frankie Lee Clark II who was identified as being involved in the disturbance.  Clark was intoxicated and was uncooperative with officers.  Clark continued to yell and scream continuing to cause a public disturbance.  Clark was placed under arrest and transported to Police Headquarters without incident.  Clark was later released pending trail in District Court.

Charge: Disorderly Conduct

At approx. 2204hrs, officers were dispatched to a Queen City Drive business for a disturbance.  While enroute dispatch advised officers of a possible assault and gave a vehicle description.  An officer arrived in the area and observed the suspect vehicle traveling away from the business.  A traffic stop was conducted and the officer located the victim of the assault along with her mother.  During the stop additional officers responded to the business due to another disturbance.  Officers arrived at the business and located Jeremy Colt Moyers in the parking lot yelling at store employees.  The officers spoke with other witnesses on the scene and learned that Moyers had assaulted a small child in the vehicle that officers stopped leaving the parking lot.  Officers conducted an investigation into the incident before placing Moyers under arrest.  He was transported to Police Headquarters for processing.  The child was transported to Western Maryland Regional Medical Center to be checked.  Moyers was later transported to District Court Commissioners Office for a hearing where he was held on a $5,000.00 bond.
