CPD Makes Breaking & Entering And Serve Bench Warrant

On Sunday August 13, 2017, at 2:08 pm, Cumberland City Police officers responded to the 100 block of Park Street for a report of a Breaking and Entering.  Investigation into this matter revealed that Audrey Torres, age 37 of Cumberland rang on the doorbell of the victims residence.  The victim was upstairs and could hear the door opening. Upon coming downstairs, she observed Torres running out of the apartment. Torres also damaged some household appliances. Torres was located at a Springdale Street residence and was placed under arrest.  She was transported to the Cumberland City Police Department for processing. After a bond hearing at the Allegany County District Court Commissioner’s Office, Torres was held on a temporary commitment at the Allegany County Detention Center.

CHARGES:  Burglary 1st, 3rd and 4th Degree, Disturbing the Peace, Destruction of Property.

 

WARRANT SERVICE

 

On Sunday August 13, 2017, Cumberland City Police served a bench warrant on Edgar Johnson, age 40 of Cumberland.  The warrant was issued as a result of Johnson failing to appear for trial on May 22, 2017 for a previous bad check arrest. Johnson was processed, served and taken to the Allegany County District Court Commissioner’s Office for a bond hearing and was held on a $500.00 dollar bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.
