CPD Makes Destruction Of Property & Theft Arrests

On Tuesday June 13, 2017, at 12:50 am, Cumberland City Police officers responded to a private residence in the 100 block of Memorial Avenue for a disturbance.  Investigation into this matter revealed that Eric Clayton, age 18 of Cumberland was inside breaking and shattering drinking glasses throughout the residence.  Officers met Clayton outside as he continued to be argumentative and threatening towards them.  Passerby’s observed Clayton’s behavior and as a result he was placed under arrest.  Clayton was transported to the Cumberland City Police Department where he was processed, served and taken to the Allegany County District Court Commissioner’s for a bond hearing.  Clayton was released on his personal recognizance pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.

CHARGES:  Malicious Destruction of Property, Disorderly Conduct, Fail to Obey.

THEFT

On Wednesday June 14, 2017, at 3:41 am, Cumberland City Police officers responded to a business on Maryland Avenue for a reported Theft.  Investigation into this matter revealed that Kassie Bordonie, age 24 of Cumberland was observed taking store owned items and concealing them in her personal garments and made attempt to leave the premises.  Bordonie was criminally cited and released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.
