CPD Makes Several Arrests

On March 27th, 2017 an officer from the Cumberland City Police was responding to an unrelated complaint in the area of the Dollar General on Greene when the officer observed two males engaged in a physical alteration in the parking lot.  The officer stopped and separated the two individuals and they were identified as Robert B. Stachow and Richard W. Jenkins.  Both Stachow and Jenkins were placed under arrest and transported to the Cumberland City Police Department for processing.  They were later taken before the District Court Commissioner and both were released on their own personal recognizance pending trail in Allegany County District Court. 

Robert Bruce Stachow Jr, age: 48, Cumberland, Maryland.

Charges: Assault 2nd, affray, and disorderly conduct.

Richard Wayne Jenkins, age: 42, Augusta, West Virginia.

Charges: Assault 2nd, affray, and disorderly conduct.

 

On March 27th, the Cumberland City Police Department served a Circuit Court arrest warrant on Nancy Lee Kosinski of Cumberland.  The warrant was an Allegany County Sheriff’s Office warrant charging Kosinski with controlled dangerous substance violations.  She was taken to the Allegany County Detention Center held without bond until she can be seen by a Circuit Court Judge.

Charges:  CDS violations.

Held without bond.

On March 27th, 2017 the Cumberland City Police responded to Martin’s Market on Park Street for a shoplifting complaint.  When the officer arrived, he made contact with store management who identified Amanda L. Blank as the individual attempting to leave the store with unpaid merchandise.  Blank was shopping and had paid for some items but concealed other unpaid items in a baby stroller and tried to leave the store.  She was detained by store loss prevention until police arrived.  Blank was issued a criminal citation charging her with theft under $100 and released pending trial.

Amanda Lee Blank, age: 29, Cumberland, Maryland.

Charge:  Theft less than $100.
