On Monday, February 13, 2017, officers from the Cumberland Police Department responded to a business on Park Street for a report of an intoxicated male subject causing a disturbance.  Upon the officers’ arrival, they contacted the staff who directed them to the subject causing the problems.  The staff stated that they had requested the subject to leave; however, he refused.  Officers contacted the subject, Steven Kienhofer, and advised him to leave the business.  Kienhofer refused to listen to officers.  Kienhofer was placed under arrest at which time he began causing a further disturbance.  Kienhofer was transported to police headquarters, processed, and issued criminal citations.  He was released pending trial at the District Court of Allegany County.

CHARGES:  Trespassing: Private Property, Disorderly Conduct

ARREST WARRANT SERVED

 

On Monday, February 13, 2017, the Cumberland Police Department served an arrest warrant on Colby Ackerson.  The warrant was issued as a result of an October 2016 incident in which the victim reported that several items were stolen from a business on Mexico Farms Rd.  Ackerson was identified as a suspect and charges were filed by the Maryland State Police.  An arrest warrant was issued.  Ackerson was located as the result of a traffic stop.  He was placed under arrest, processed, and taken to the District Court Commissioner’s Office where he was released on his personal recognizance pending trial.

CRIMINAL SUMMONS SERVED

 

On Monday, February 13, 2017, the Cumberland Police Department served a Criminal Summons on Craig Beatty.  The summons was issued as a result of a February 2017 incident in which the victim reported that his vehicle had been damaged.  After investigation into the incident, Beatty was identified as the suspect.  An application for charges against Beatty was filed at the District Court of Allegany County by the Cumberland Police.  A Criminal Summons was issued.  Beatty was served with the summons.  Beatty is currently being held at the Allegany County Detention Center for an unrelated matter.
