CPD Makes Trespassing & Drug Arrests

On 3/31/16 the Cumberland Police Department served an arrest warrant on Charles William Michael III for Trespassing.  This stemmed from a 3/22/16 incident where this subject was observed walking on the Scenic Railroad Bridge leading to Ridgeley, WV.  Michael was taken before the District Court Commissioner where he was released pending trial in District Court.

Charges: Trespassing on Posted Property, and Trespassing on Railroad Property

 

On 3/31/16 at approx. 2359 hours an officer from the Cumberland Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Bedford Street for an equipment violation.  The officer made contact with the operator Bradley Matthew Prince.  While speaking with Prince the officer observed a baggie of marijuana in plain view inside the vehicle.  The officer had Prince exit the vehicle and a search was conducted.  Several additional baggies of marijuana were located inside the vehicle along with a baggie of narcotic prescription medication.  Prince was taken into custody and transported to Police Headquarters for processing.  Prince was later taken before the District Commissioner where he was released pending trial in District Court.
