CPD Makes Warrant & Theft Arrests

On 02/17/2020 the Cumberland City Police Department served an arrest warrant on Eric Brewer. Mr. Brewer was wanted for violation of probation on a previous disturbing the peace charge. Mr. Brewer was transported to the Allegany County Detention Center pending an initial appearance in District Court.

Arrested – Eric Brewer (47) Cumberland, MD

Charge – Violation of Probation

 

Adult Arrests

On 2/17/2020 at approximately 8:30 PM the Cumberland City Police Department responded to a business in the 700 block of Park Street for a theft complaint. Upon arrival officers learned two subjects left the business with a shopping cart full of unpaid merchandise. A description of the suspects was provided. Additional officers were able to locate the suspects on Williams Street and identified them as Rodney Lee Smith and Anthony Edward Horn Jr. Mr. Smith and Mr. Horn were arrested and transported to the police station. They were both issued criminal citations and released pending trial in District Court.

Arrested – Rodney Lee Smith (53) Cumberland, MD

Charge – Theft over $100.00 less than $1,500.00

Arrested – Anthony Edward Horn Jr (21) Cumberland, MD

Charge – Theft over $100.00 less than $1,500.00

    Just curious…is that Mr.Brewer the same Mr. Brewer, a Spanish teacher at FHHS?
    I’M NOT SAYING IT IS. I DON’T KNOW. I’M JUST ASKING IF ANYONE KNOWS IF IT IS?
