CPD Reponds To Tampering With A Motor Vehicle

On Sunday September 10, 2017, at 9:59 pm, Cumberland City Police responded to the 300 block of Arch Street for a report of a tampering with motor vehicle.  Upon arrival, officers observed that the owner of the vehicle had the suspect on the ground.  Surveillance camera footage belonging to the owner of the vehicle showed Randy Walker, age 52 of Cumberland, opening the door and entering the victim’s vehicle.  Walker was placed in custody and transported to the Cumberland City Police Department where he was processed and served.  He was released on his personal recognizance pending trial.

CHARGE:  Rogue and Vagabond.  Possession of burglary tools to break in a vehicle.
