On Tuesday, March 12th, 2019 the Cumberland Police Department served an arrest warrant on John Phillip Blank Jr. The warrant was issued by District Court in reference to an incident that occurred on March 8th, 2018 at a N. Waverly Terrance residence where Blank assaulted 4 individuals; including an officer who had responded for a domestic disturbance. He was charged with 4 counts of assault 2nd, resisting arrest, attempted 2nd degree escape, disturbing the peace, disorderly conduct, and obstructing and hindering. Blank was taken before the District Court Commissioner and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center held without bond.
