CPD Serves Arrest Warrants & Makes Theft Arrest

On October 1, 2016, Officers from the Cumberland City Police Department responded to a business on Park St. for a shoplifting complaint.  Upon arrival officers made contact with employees who had detained Chasity Kesner for shoplifting. The employees advised that Kesner had removed items from the business without paying, and attempt to flee the area.  Officers spoke with Kesner and issued a Criminal Citation for Theft under $100.  She was then released pending trial in District Court.

Arrest Warrants Served

 

On October 2, 2016, Officer from the Cumberland City Police Department served three Arrest Warrants on Destiny Tilson, Age 21, Cumberland, MD, for Probation Violations.  She was taken before the District Court Commissioner for her Initial Appearance and held on $5000 Bond for each Warrant.

Arrest Warrants Served

On October 2, 2016, the Cumberland Police served two Arrest Warrants on Pamela Cook, Age 45, of Keyser, WV.  One Warrant stemmed from a theft that occurred in February from a business in La Vale. The second Warrant stemmed from an incident that occurred on September 23, 2016.  During the incident Cook provided a false name to a Cumberland Police officer while he was investigating suspicious activity. The officer later discovered Cook had provided a false name do to her having an active Arrest Warrant. Both Warrants were served on Cook, and she was taken before a District Court Commissioner for her Initial Appearance.  She was then held on $2,500 Bond for the theft and released on her Personal Recognizance on Providing False ID to avoid prosecution.
