On 04/25/16 The Cumberland Police Dept served a criminal summons on 37 year old Joseph Wood of Cumberland. The charges stem from an incident that occurred on 04/15/16 in the 700blk of Frederick St. Officers were dispatched to this location for a report of an assault. Officers interviewed all subjects involved which resulted in the criminal summons being issued for Wood charging him with one count of assault 2nd degree and disorderly conduct. The victim in this case did not require medical attention. Woods was released after signing the summons pending trial in District Court.
Criminal Summons Served
On 04/25/16 The Cumberland Police Dept served a criminal summons on 21 year old Taylor Meeks of Frostburg and 24 year old Whitni Fisher of Ridgeley. The summons stems from a private citizen filing charges through the District Court alleging that on 04/16/16 he was assaulted by both Meeks and Fisher assaulted him in a residence located in the 500blk of Baltimore Ave. The victim did not require medical attention. Both Meeks and Fisher were charged with one count of assault 2nd degree and were released pending trial in district court.
