CPD Serves Warrant And Makes Theft Arrest

On Sunday, May 12th, 2019 the Cumberland Police Department served a Circuit Court warrant on Cletus C. Hill Jr. for violation of probation.  The warrant was issued for failing to follow the conditions of his probation ordered by the court back on August 16, 2018 for a CDS conviction.  He was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center held without bond until he can be seen by a Circuit Court Judge.

Shoplifting Arrest

 

On Sunday, May 12th, 2019 the Cumberland Police Department responded to Martin’s market on Park Street for a theft complaint.  Upon the officer’s arrival, contact was made with a store employee that had detained Jerrica Leigh Hamilton trying to the leave the store with unpaid merchandise.  Hamilton was arrested and charged with theft.  She was issued a criminal citation and released pending trial at District Court.
