Drug activity in Georges Creek, Frostburg ongoing concern

A special crime watch meeting, with several high-ranking state and local law enforcement officials and politicians in attendance was held  in May of this year with further discussion on increased crime activity in the Georges Creek area. Among those who attended were: Allegany County State's Attorney Mike Twigg, Sheriff Craig Robertson, John Dudiak of C3I, County Commissioner Bill Valentine, Lonaconing Police Chief Royce Douty, Lonaconing Mayor Jack Coburn and members of the city council. Some of the issues being experienced in the area include four wheelers on the main roads, drug activity, unsecured windows and providing unnecessary information on social media. States Attorney Twigg says that since the meeting, although stepes have been made in the right direction, the drug issue remains a concern:
