The Cumberland/Allegany County CROP Walk Committee met recently to kick off its 46th annual walk. Christians Relating to Other People is a hunger awareness walk held each fall to raise funds to help food pantries within Allegany County. Sandy Cowan, county coordinator, announced that the Cumberland walk will be held Oct. 8 at 2 p.m. with registration at 1:30 p.m. in the CBIZ parking lot. The 2 1/2-mile walk will take place on the Great Allegheny Passage. Sandy noted that WCBC Radio has played an active role in the CROP Walk for many years…
