Crossover Day For Lawmakers; Senate To Approve Tax Cut Bill

March 21st, 2016 by WCBC Radio

It is crossover day, the deadline lawmakers set to pass bills in at least one chamber, so they have a better chance of passing in the final three weeks of the legislative session.

Any bill that is not passed in at least one chamber of the Maryland General Assembly by midnight tonight has a diminished chance of being passed into law this year.

Lawmakers can suspend the rules to consider bills introduced at the last minute.

House Speaker Mike Busch told Maryland's News This Week that he was pleased with the progress lawmakers made in the session.
