CSX Land Adjacent to Martin’s Spark Developer Interest

Large tracts of land adjacent to Martin’s supermarket on Park Street that are owned by CSX have sparked some interest from potential developers. Officials with the Cumberland Economic Development Corporation discussed the possibilities during the board’s regular meeting this week as efforts continue to create a new and expanded  commercial corridor in the Rolling Mill area and beyond. CEDC executive director Paul Kelly said that the land beside Martin’s have been placed on the market by CSX Transportation.       I am always left wondering – how many people attend college, go to law school with the dream goal of being the director of the CEDC?
