The city of Cumberland will be teaming with Allegany College of Maryland to see a new softball field constructed on the campus for shared use. The city was notified last week by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources that its request for $120,000 through the Community Parks and Playground Program has been approved to construct the new “Cumberland and Allegany College Softball Field”.
