Cumberland Economic Development Corporation Looking For Public Input

The Cumberland Economic Development Corporation is looking for public input on several proposals that will be considered for the Downtown Mall, Baltimore Street and the Cumberland Plaza. The Sage-McCormick study team has been tasked with objectively studying four strategic development sites for the City and one of those is the downtown business district. Shawn Hershberger, executive director of the Economic Development Corporation, addressed the Cumberland Rotary Club Tuesday and said that there are five alternatives proposed, and most include at least a partial re-opening of the mall for vehicular traffic and some limited parking…
