Cumberland Gas Prices Highest in State

Over the past week, retail gas averages have remained stable nationally and in Maryland. Average pump prices in most areas of the state moved up or down by a penny with the exception of the Salisbury metro area, whose average price declined by six cents from last week.

The national average is unchanged from one week ago at $2.27 per gallon and one cent less compared to one month ago, but 58 cents more than the same date last year. Maryland’s average cost is two cents less than the national average, also at $2.29 per gallon, reflecting a two cents decrease from last week and a six cents drop from a month ago. In Cumberland prices are at $2.41, down a penny from last week but still among the highest in the state.
