June 1st, 2020 by WCBC Radio

On May 31, 2020, at 9:19 pm, officers from the Cumberland Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Virginia Avenue for a subject refusing to leave a residence.  Officers were further advised that the subject refusing to leave had threatened the victims with a knife.  When officers arrived on the scene they learned that Jordan Shook, age 34, of Cumberland, Maryland, had been in a dispute with the victims over money.  During the argument, Shook threatened the victims with a knife and began demanding their money.  The victims grabbed objects to defend themselves and Shook fled the scene.  Officers in the area quickly located Shook and were able to corroborate the victim’s complaint. Shook was then taken into custody and charged with two counts of the following charges, armed robbery, robbery, first degree assault, second degree assault, and attempted theft under $100.  Shook was later taken for his Initial Appearance in District Court. Following his hearing, he was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.
