Cumberland Man Arrested On Disorderly Conduct Charges

On February 14, 2017 Cumberland City Police served a criminal summons on Jeffrey Edward Dennison, age 29 of Cumberland, Maryland.  On February 7, 2017, officers from the Cumberland City Police Department responded to 213 Maryland Avenue for a well being check.  Upon the officers arrival they located Jeffrey Dennison lying on the front porch.  Dennison who was intoxicated was escorted inside the residence and told to go to bed.  Officers learned that prior to their arrival; Dennison was outside yelling and screaming at a female who had left the area.  As officers were attempting to leave the area, Dennison exited the residence and started creating a disturbance.  Officers informed Dennison to return back inside or he would be arrested.  Dennison refused the officers request and walked toward the police cars and attempted to get inside.  Dennison had to be removed from the vehicle at which time he was placed under arrest.  Dennison was transported to the Cumberland City Police Department for processing.  Once officers arrived at the police station, Dennison required medical assistance and was later released to the care of the Cumberland City Fire Department.  As a result, charges were applied for at District Court resulting in a criminal summons being issued.
