Cumberland Man Arrested with Stolen Items

On August 9, 2018 an officer from the Cumberland City Police Department was on routine patrol when he observed Daniel Monrose Jr. walking on Columbia Street.  The officer was aware that Monrose had an active arrest warrant for his arrest. The officer made contact with Monrose and informed him that he was under arrest.  Monrose was placed under arrest. During a search of Monrose, the officer located a crack pipe on his person. During a search of a bag that Monrose was carrying, officers located numerous stolen items belonging to Calvary Christian Academy.   Officers were able to make contact with a victim in this matter and the items were confirmed stolen from a vehicle on the early morning hours of August 9, 2018. Monrose was processed, served and taken before the District Court Commissioner. Monrose was held in the Allegany County Detention Center on $3,500 bond.

 

Arrested: Daniel Monrose Jr.                   Age: 33 of Cumberland, MD

Charges: Possession of drug paraphernalia, Rogue and Vagabond, Theft and Failure to Appear.
