On Friday, investigators with the Allegany County Combined Criminal Investigation Unit (C3I), with the assistance of the Allegany County Sheriff's Office, arrested 31 year old Myren Allan Battle, of Cumberland, after a warrant had been issued for his arrest. The arrest stems from a trial in Circuit Court this week that Battle had been attending on behalf of an acquaintance who was on trial as the defendant. Battle had taken pictures of witnesses and posted them to social media in an attempt to intimidate the witnesses. Battle was arrested at the Circuit Court. Battle was charged with two (2) counts of Intimidating a Witness, and six (6) counts of Obstruction of Justice.
He was taken before a District Court Commissioner for an initial appearance, and is currently being held at the Allegany County Detention Center on $6500.00 bond pending his next court appearance.
