Cumberland Man Charged With May Destruction Of Property

On Saturday, Cumberland Police served a criminal summons on James Raymond Harry Searles for malicious destruction of property and disorderly conduct.

The charges stem from an investigation Cumberland Police handled on May 26, 2017. In that incident police responded to the 300 block of Oldtown Road for a destruction of property complaint. Police interviewed witnesses and collected evidence.

Police learned Searles and an adult female had been involved in an argument earlier down the street. As Searles was walking by a residence he broke a window with an unknown object. When police had arrived on scene Searles could not be located. Charges were filed with the District Court Commissioner’s office and a criminal summons was issued.

Searles was served with the criminal summons and released pending trial in District Court.

James Raymond Harry Searles, age: 23, Cumberland, MD

Charges: Malicious Destruction of Property +$1000 and Disorderly Conduct
