Cumberland Man Faces Extradition After Traffic Stop

On Saturday, Cumberland City Police conducted a traffic stop in the area of Springdale Street.

During the course of the stop, it was learned that the driver, Teesh Joe Davis, age 34, of Cumberland, had an active arrest warrant issued by the United States District Court, Western Pennsylvania District. That warrant charged Davis with multiple CDS related offenses, including distribution of Heroin and distribution of Fentanyl. As a result, Davis was placed under arrest and charged with being a fugitive from justice.

He was taken before the District Court Commissioner for an initial appearance where he was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. He is currently being held without bond, awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania.
