Cumberland Man Held On Numerous Charges

On 03/29/2015 Cumberland City Police officers served an arrest warrant on a Cumberland man during a traffic stop on Frederick Street.  Gerald Allen Moore, 24, was placed under arrest for charges obtained by a private citizen for an alleged incident occurring on 03/20/2015 at an Oldtown Road residence.  According to court documents, Moore was at the Oldtown Road address and began assaulting the victim, causing a disturbance, causing property damage, stole property, and made threats to burn down the victim’s home.  After this incident the victim filed for charges at District Court and as a result, Moore is charged with the following:

Assault 2nd Degree

Malicious Destruction of Property

Theft Less than $100.00

Arson Threat

Disturbing the Peace

Robbery

False Imprisonment

Moore was processed for the warrant at Cumberland Police Headquarters and transported to the Allegany County District Court for a bond hearing.  Moore was held on a $25,000 bond and is awaiting a bond review at the Allegany County Detention Center.
